Description
Petrosol liquid is a highly acidic water and scale cleaner with corrosion protection. The foam-free product enables quick and safe descaling and thoroughly removes water scale incrustations and deposits as well as boiler scale.
Application
Petrosol Liquid is an inorganic acid with special corrosion inhibitors and is used to remove water scale incrustations and hardness deposits in hot water boilers, pipes, containers, jug and bottle washing systems, etc. The amount of Petrosol Liquid required for descaling depends on the amount of water scale encrustation/hardness deposits to be removed. With a layer thickness of 1 mm, approx. 1.5 - 2 kg of air-dry incrustations/deposits per square meter of surface to be cleaned must be removed. As a rule, 3.3 - 4.4 kg of Petrosol Liquid is required to remove 1 kg of air-dry incrustations/deposits. In cases of doubt or in the case of deposits with a high gypsum content, a sample should be sent in. Petrosol Liquid itself is foam-free, but reactions with the deposits often lead to foam formation during the contact time. Any excess foam must be rinsed off immediately and good ventilation must be ensured.
If the gas stops developing and the solution is only slightly acidic or neutral, the Petrosol Liquid has been used up. In this case, some of the solution is drained off and product is added. If the solution is still strongly acidic after the gas stops developing, cleaning is complete. The solution is drained and any sludge is removed with a sharp water jet or high-pressure cleaner. To neutralize the treated surfaces, use an approx. 0.5 % caustic soda or soda solution, or carry out alkaline cleaning and then rinse thoroughly with water.
