Description
InCorr 2238 is a highly concentrated corrosion inhibitor which is very economical in dosage. Suitable as a temporary corrosion inhibitor for steel, whether low-alloyed or non-alloyed.
Application
InCorr 2238 is a concentrate for the preparation of passivation baths. Instructions for use: Allow surfaces treated with InCorr 2238 to air dry. Avoid rinsing and moisture ingress! Avoid exposure to acids, especially hydrochloric acid. Check the pH value of the application solution regularly (target: pH value 8 - 9). Treat surfaces that are as optically clean as possible (surface impurities, e.g. rust deposits or pigment soiling interfere with the formation of the passivation layer). Avoid direct exposure to moisture (rain etc.). The corrosion passivation layer is moderately water-soluble. Prolonged exposure to moisture therefore leads to its dissolution.
Suitable surfaces: Steel (low-alloy or non-alloy)Not suitable surfaces: Non-ferrous metals and zinc tend to darken; no passivation of aluminum and aluminum alloys
