Application
Complement Thix P is a thixotropic agent developed for select Paintex cleaners. Complement Thix P produces a thixotropic consistency. This allows a stable layer of cleaner to form on vertical surfaces, significantly extending the contact time. In particular, it greatly facilitates the cleaning of permanently installed containers and storage tanks at ambient temperature. Thixotropy can be adjusted over a wide temperature range by adding 2% to 3% to the cleaning solution. Contaminants are loosened and/or penetrated and can be easily rinsed off with water and pressure.
Attention! It is essential to follow the order of addition to ensure that the cleaner mixture is easy to apply. Allow approximately 10 minutes for the mixture to set.
Instructions:
1. Place any amount of Paintex in a suitable mixing container
2. Add 2%–3% Complement Thix while stirring; mix thoroughly until homogeneous
3. Add 60–70% water while stirring vigorously (for solvent-based paint systems, add the same amount of water as Paintex)
4. Allow to cure for 10 minutes
5. Apply, e.g., using the airless spray method
